Seed increase for Grasslands National Park

Looking for the most appropriate seed genetics for their restoration projects, Grasslands National Park in south west Saskatchewan approached us to grow crops from seed that had been collected as close as possible to the restoration sites. Starting in 2002, we’ve been growing multiple crops of species harvested in the park, including Blue Grama grass, Sandberg’s bluegrass, Alkali grass, Junegrass, Green Needlegrass, and Prairie Onion. This relationship has resulted in us being able to provide thousands of pounds of seed with genetics that are more likely to be adapted to the harsh climate of the park than anything available on the market.
